Hubby and I and a friend played 18 holes at Bukit Jelutong on Saturday morning. We woke up nice and early and planned to have a quick breakfast at the course before we start. We loaded up Froggie with our golf things, took the top down and had a great drive all the way to Bukit Jelutong. It was a nice sunny morning, not too humid.
When we got there, we met up with K, our friend and headed towards the mamak at the course. It was CLOSE! Demmit. We contemplated going out for something quick to it but decided not to cos by the time we get back, the course would be crowded. So we headed towards the second 9 holes of the course and teed off.
The second 9 is more challenging than the first 9 holes. And without breakfast, we did not do well at all. We kept losing our balls (haha), not into the water, but they keep getting lost in the grass! The grass is ankle deep! And the lalangs by the side of the fairways are like sarang ular or something. If only we can keep to the fairway. We’re a long way from there! Hehe
So anyway, we played, part hockey, part golf and finished the first 9. By that time, tak bole tahan already, we headed out for some lunch. We pusinged Bukit Jelutong area and could not find ANY mamak or even rumah kedai! Unbelieavable. Finally, we found this hut by the roadside that has nasi and stuff.
We came back after lunch and continued the remaining 9 holes. We had a better game this time. Our tummies were full. We had the whole course to ourselves, there was nobody around. It rained for a few minutes but we carried on. It was nice and cloudy after that so we could play comfortably. My shots were short but better. At least the ball goes up into the air! It was a par 3 course with each hole, its distance is no more than 120m! Great beginners course I tell you!
We finished our game at our 3pm and headed home tired but happy. We look forward to another golfing Saturday!

BJRC..yup, a good all par 3 course. Nampak senang, tapi..... (well, looks can be deceiving).
Went there last night for the range (kena practice swing for Saturday's game). Demmm, the tempat makan closed.
Slow: U went to range last nite? Me too! But I went to the one near 1U. We usually go there cos its close by. Hubby's got a game this sat. Where us your game?
Ya la. The tempat makan close. They did not even say for how long. And then that area dah lah takde kedai.
BJRC is a good course to practice your short game. But for me, since I can't get distance, it is the perfect course la hehe. When I play with hubby and the guys, they usually overshoot the green. I ngam ngam... silap silap terus masuk bunker.
Ha ha..quite right. Kalau pukul mesti overshoot kat BJ tu. Gila nak control power.
My game this Sat at Hyatt Saujana..Cobra Course..memang nak matilah (FYI last time I played was like 6 months ago)
Nak makan kat area tu drive down to Monterez Golf Club (about 10 mins). Across the street (it's a cross junction) ada shops. Famous kat situ is the Big Plate (nama aje dah boleh tau kan). The food is good and the English they use too...superb :D
Big Plate is there? We go to Big Plate all the time but I don't know the way cos I'm not the one driving hehe. I know that it is really far and that we use some dark winding road :D
Good luck with your game this sat. Since hubby has a game too, I'll head to the gym.
BJRC is not the same as Monterez right?
I've organised two golf tourney for the bank and have yet to golf myself..
what's your handicap?
Handicap? 36 ler. M a beginner. Just started bout 6 months back. I must admit I am not working hard enough at it. I really should be going to the driving range more often.
But if u r thinking of starting, I would advice you to start with a pro straight away. It does help speed things.
