I’m beautiful, its true!

Yesterday we want to a cat show. Despite having Cleo for so many years, we never actually been to a cat show. This one was held at Sri Petaling’s Community Hall.

We made our way there past lunch time. I expected to judging to have finished by then. They started early in the morning. Something like registration for participants was 7am! Dam if I was to participate, I would not be able to make it!

There were rows and rows of cages with cats in it. All has numbers. They were all so pretty! All nicely brushed and groomed. Since it was past noon, most of them looked sleepy and bored. It is basically any kitty’s nap time! So we walked row after row, peering into the cages. Some had signs that read “ I may not bite, but my owner sure does!” hehe cute kan.

There were all kinds of breeds. The classic Persian, Maine Coons, short hairs, no hairs oso got! There were ones with really flat and grumpy faces. They were all organised according to their respective catogories. I saw 1 Maine Coons who were dam huge man!! I mean seriously. They were like little lions. I’ve not seen a cat so large. They were not fat, but huge. Their heads were bigger than a cats.

An American lady was doing the judging on stage. There were about 10 cages behind her, filled with kitties, waiting for their turn to be judged. She looked at their ears, teeth, their markings, the curvature of their heads (I don’t know why), how long their tail was and big their feet were! Then she has a little feather that she wiggles infront of them to see if they react to it.

We were thinking of entering Cleo and Teddy in the next show. But Cleo needs to go to the groomers to get rid of his hair balls. He’s got far too many that sticks too closely to his body. No matter how I brush him, he still gets them. His bulu is just so lebat. Teddy is ok, though he HATES getting brushed.
