I treasure my friends. I can’t bear losing even one. There are horrible ones that I have to let go of course, fortunately there are only few that are like that. I learn from the good ones, as well as the bad ones. I learn enough to stay away from the bad ones and therefore appreciate the good ones.
A very good old friend, whom I spent a fair amount of time with when I was doing my A-Levels sent me this lovely piece. Talking to him brings back many fond memories and warmth to my heart. Life was so easy back then. We only needed to worry about our grades and nothing more. Talking to H makes me remember the different places we went in Oundle. The different buildings we used to go to for classes and the places where we took our long walks in the evening.
Here’s to you H. Thanks for being such a great friend, and for keeping in touch after all those years.
