So whats been happening?

Work has been uneventful. It’s the new financial year and our GM has been promoted to SGM in another outfit. Good for him. Apparently he will be replaced by a rather dense person, so it definitely would not help with our already ailing division. We did not achieve our targets this year, but we improved immensely from last year. The general commodity market is too competitive for us to be part of it. Our transactions are hardly trading transactions. Mostly financing. How la to survive like this? As for my small little department, its not easy to find people who want to exchange, say rice for lembu. If there are interested parties, then the Organization will deem it to be too risky, or it is the area of business that we should not set foot in. Aiyaaaa….. How laaaaa?

Hence I spend my days blogging.

Lets see what else….

My weekends have been hectic. Will be so until the end of April. All are packed with trips out station and golf! Yes yes…. I am going to play golf til my arms fall out…. Trouble is… I’m not even good at it!

Photography. So I’ve been dying for the Canon 350D. Went to Sungei Wang Plaza to check out the prices. Wow… what a big difference. The Canon Shop at KLCC quotes the price to be RM3699. At Sungei Wang it can get as lot as RM2950 if you pay cash. 7% on top of that if you pay by credit card. Am more interested in the Citibank 0% interest free thing. Not many shops have that promo. The ones that have it tend to price their cameras higher due to the higher commission that they have to pay. One shop quoted RM 3360 with the 0% interest thing. Am still considering it.

I compared images between the Canon 350D and Nikon D50 on the computer. Images from the Canon are much much better, though Nikon is more popular amongst pro photographers. The canon is nice to hold, nice weight, nice size, very intuitive. I guess I’ve made my decision!

I’ve lined up all the places that I want to go to take pictures. Here are some:

- Orchid Gardens, Taman Tasek Perdana
- Butterfly Park, Taman Tasek Perdana
- Bird Park, Taman Tasek Perdana
- Pulau Ketam
- Melaka (done it already… but got to go again with my future new camera!)
- All the Islands (Perhentian, Redang, Tioman)
- Petaling Street
- Chinese Temples
- Indian Temples

That’s quite a long list! I wonder if I will have time to do all that!

Oh and since Yellow has died, his tank is now filled with guppies :)

There will be an mx-5 drive to Penang on the 15th and will involve something like 10 cars from KL and about 8 from Singapore. We can't go cos hubby has his company's away day at someplace in Rompin. Dang it! This is the second time we have to pass on a drive. Its meant to be fun k! Plus all that shopping that we can do in Penang.

D70 is too big for me. I've got little hands hehe....

But seriously, I compared images on the computer between D50 and 350D, somehow I like the ones coming from the Canon better. I know that Nikon is a bigger favourite amongst pros tho. It is a tough choice.
