On Bonding

I’ve been busy the past week. Was away for a Bonding programme in PD. It was a 2 day programme. I expected it to be boring and really dreaded going. But it turned out to be really fun and I got to know my colleagues really well. One might say, we have successfully “bonded”.

We did the typical team building type activities. Lots of games, made a rakit and paddled out into sea and back …. The usual stuff. But the highlight was paintball! Throughout the getaway, we were devided into teams where we remained throughout. So for the paintball, the teams played against each other. Our team, “The Champs” won 1 and lost 1, putting us second place. I was SO nervous cos I’ve never played before. I only got shot once (but there was no paint stain so I stayed on in the game). But nope, its not the resultant bruise in the picture in my previous post. Nope, infact I did not bruise at all.

The ugly bruise was as a result of a match, my company versus the facilitators. The whacked us silly. The rules of the game was different. We were to choose the best of our company, 10 of us, versus 5 of them. We put on our gear and off we went into the arena. At the arena, they told us the rules of the game. There won’t be any elimination. We can continue to shoot and play until we cannot stand being shot!! Aiyo! This time, the game is to get all your team members to the other end and touch the post. First team to finish wins. You should have seen the shower of pellets coming our way! We get more than usual pellets and refills too! We got blasted silly cos the facilitators were just out to shoot us. They did not bother to finish the game. As a result I came back with about 11 bruises like the one in the picture!

I don’t think I’d play the game again! Not anytime soon anyways. I’ll stick to ATV… best!!
