My friends, hubby and I went in one car to Genting. We started our journey early Saturday morning with breakfast at Village Park, Damansara Uptown. This time I got my nasi dagang cos we were early. SEDAP Giler k!!
Then we were off. We got to Awana Genting and checked in. First thing on the TO DO list…. PLAY GOLF. While hubby and I golfed, our friends chilled in the room and lepaked at the Theme Park. We got the 2 bedroom apartment. It was so best….. has a fully equipped kitchen and jacuzzi. We had a good time with our tapaued mamak mee goring and nasi goreng. Felt at home indeed.
Anyways, the golf course was tough, but I was not impressed with the grass. The green looked like kena gigit tikus. So, it was not smooth at all. I played well at 2 holes out of the 9. 9 because we did not want to tire ourselves out before the concert. Also, because it was freaking expensive! 9 holes cost us about RM110!
After golf, we went back to our room and chilled till it was time to get dressed for the concert. The weather was nice and cool. Puuuurfect to lepak.
Once we all got dressed….. we set off to the Arena of Stars. We got there slightly late, towards the end of the first song. Luckily cos the second song was On Bended Knees. As soon as we found our seats, I was already filled with adrenalin and excitement. We danced, screamed and sang the night away. I was almost deaf and nearly lost my voice. It was a fantastic performance. Their voices were superb and SO powerful. I was in awe. We sat right behind the VIP seats. I managed to rush to the gates just before the stage to get some shots of the guys…. SO BEST! More singing and more dancing ended the night, which I thought was too soon. Rasa tak puas at all. The show was only 1 hour 40 minutes long.

After the concert we went to lepak at Starbucks. I was amazed at how crowded First World Plaza was at that time of night. Children were still enjoying the rides and people were up and about as though it was still noon. It was by that time, almost 11pm. The weather then, was already very cold too.
The next morning, we had our tapaued nasi goring for breakfast, which we cunningly bought the night before, before we headed back to the hote. Kat Genting pun mamak bole laku. The restaurant was crowded! We chilled, watch TV, read magazine…. The holiday works la.
When it was time, we checked out, and I suggested that we paid a visit to the Awana Equestarian Club. I was not sure if they were still opened. I used to ride there, about 7years ago. I wanted to see if Cloud, the horse I used to ride, was still there. We headed towards the stables where I routinely went years before. It was abandoned. But further ahead was another stable, where I spotted a few white horses chilling. We headed that way.
We parked our car and walked into the stable yard, which was quite a distance. I asked the person working there:
Me: Dik, kat sini ada tak kuda nama Cloud?
Him: ada…. Tuuh… kat situ (he pointed towards the white horse chilling about outside the stables)
Me: (smilling and trying to contain myself) Bole pergi tengok tak?
Him: Boleeee
So we headed towards the stables.
Me: kalau I panggil dia, dia datang tak?
Him: Cuba la
So I called out . CLOUD! CLOOOOUUUUD. Come here girl…..
And guess what…? She came right over!!! Its like WOW! I never had a horse come over to me before! She was so manja. She came right up, and looked at me with her very soft eyes. She enjoyed the pats and cuddles I gave her. I did not bring her any carrots cos we did not plan on visiting. Cloud is really old now. She was a fantastic horse to ride and with very good temperament. I missed the days when I used to ride her. 2 point canters were fantastically fun on her!

After much cuddling and fussing over Cloud, it was time to bid farewell. I was really sad. I don’t know when I will see her again. I hope she would still be alive when I visit her next.
