Shit happens

Shit hit the fan. My boss and 3 of my colleagues got suspended from work.

It was a deal that went awry. The investigation began several weeks before where numeral interviews were conducted with aim to flush out the guilty. The team members were adamant that it was a team effort and details were overlooked.

Alas, another claim was imposed on another buyer, on the same commodity, caused our security division to suspend the entire team. Last Saturday, just before I left for Bandung, my colleague called me and told me. I was shocked. They were meant to receive their suspension letters the coming Monday, my boss was escorted off the building late Friday night. I was speechless. I could only say how sorry I was and that take it easy until the investigation is over.

For me, somehow, I was not involved in this commodity. I was busy with another project, which to me, is another time bomb. Meanwhile, I am watching my back.

So with my boss and colleagues out for a few weeks, the office is very lonely. I have to entertain tones of questions from people who wants to know what the latest update is. I feel like sticking a sign on my workstation saying .. I DON’T KNOW ANYTHING
