The worst that could happen

Yesterday we came home and our electric gate would not work. So hubby had to manually open it by forcing it open. When we approached our front door, the alarm was beeping very loudly. Oh noooo…. Now what!

We discovered that there was a power surge the electrical box had tripped. The alarm was screwed up and the light at our wet kitchen area blew. It must have been a really bad thunderstorm!

That’s not the worst… later that night, I went to switch on my pc, it would not switch on k!!! :( I suspect that the blackout had ruined either my motherboard or power supply. To make things worst, my one year warranty had already expired!

So today I called Dell. They quoted around RM800 to fix the problem! Yikes!! They also offered an alternative, RM699 for a warranty extention.

I went for the warranty extention.
