Short getaway

What a fantastic short getaway! This time, at Awana Kijal, Terengganu. Hubby had an event up at Kertih, so naturally, I tagged along for some fun in the sun.

We left home early Sunday morning so we can catch a 9 hole game at the resort. Its golf course stretches alongside the beach, where every angle you get a glimpse of the deep blue sea. Since I am such a pro golfer (NOT), needless to say my game was pitiful, but I had a great time with hubby. We looked out longingly at the deep blue sea, thorn between the golf course and the beach. Tough choice isn't it!

On Monday, I went down for breakfast at the coffee house. It was jam packed with holiday makers due to the school holidays. I managed to get a seat and wolfed down my omelete, baked beans and sausages. Quickly I headed down to the beach soon after. Armed with my spanking new macbook (yes peeps! i have been mac ed!!) and of course my DSLR. I spent most of the morning watching DVDs with the sea breeze in my face. It started to look gloomy after lunch so I headed back to the hotel room. Chilled summore there, and then back to the beach again after the rain had stopped. Late in the evening, more dark cloud loomed across the beach so i decided to call it a day. We had a yummy dinner later that night at a chinese restaurant a stone throw away from the hotel.

Next morning once again, breakfast and then headed to the beach. This time I went down early to beat the breakfast queue! I booked myself a full body massage the the resorts spa at noon and it was BRILLIANT!! At RM120 for an hour, its not a bad price for holiday resort and the treatment was just SO NICE!! Well worth it! They converted some of their hotel rooms for the spa, so they have great shower facilities, which I utilised just before my massage as I came right from the beach. WHAT BLISS!!

Now as I am typing this, am waiting for hubby to come back to the hotel, so we can head home. I would definitely do this again! I so don't want to leave, but I do feel rejuvenated!

Ready to look at the bull in the eye and head back to work.... I think.  *winks*

Note: Photos to be uploaded later!!

HI there!! Yeap, it was a fun short getaway. Definitely feel slightly rejuvenated :)

Thanks for the comment on the cupcake! I used a salad bowl to mix the batter hehe... I definitely need to get some baking equipment... or kidnap my mum's kenwood chef!

The cupcakes we made in class were delicious!!! I can't wait to try them myself. The cream cheese frosting on the carrot cake could do with some sugar in it though...

Thanks for visiting gurl! I still got no time to upload the pix from class. Nanti la... I will find the time...
