I have a children portrait shoot coming up next weekend so on Saturday, I went to recce the location. After a hot hot morning of walking around at Lake Gardens, I decided to stop for lunch at the cafe near there. It was a cosy little eatery, outdoor, with shady trees.
They had this thing called nasi ambang. I've never had it in my life, apparently its Indonesian. Its basically white rice with lauk already packed in it. It had sambal, chicken, tempeh and ikan masin. The ikan masin made the whole ensemble very interesting and brings out the taste in everything.
