I went to the Spa!!!

Hubby was away in Bangkok over the weekend. I kept myself busy. In the morning I went to the gym at The Curve. Did RPM. M addicted to it at the moment. After that, I had lunch at O'Briens. And then.... I went to the SPA!! YAY!

Its been 2 years since I've been to the spa. I could not go because of the surgery that I had and could not urut. I usually go to Martha Tilaar at the Crown Princess. I thought this time, I'd try the one at Plaza Damaz. It is much cheaper than the one at Crown Princess. Then, I got an sms from a friend, saying that there is a promotion going on at Spa Mantra. Its quite a new place at Mont Kiara, right infront of Garden International School. The promotion was for a package of massage, scrub and steam for only RM89!! Murah giler right?! Its only applicable to week days though. So I thought why not give it a shot. Their Fri nite appointments were full so I only had Saturday to go. Debbie (of Spa Mantra) gave me the discount anyway. YAY

So off I went on Saturday. It was a nice quaint small place. It has, I think, 2 treatment rooms and 1 bathroom where they have the tub, shower and steam thing. The treatment room was cosy, with candles and all.

When I arrived, I was given some mint tea... to relax before the treatment. The package began with a scrub. I chose lulur cos its my fav. It makes my skin really smooth and glow after that. Also, removes those dirt and grime thats been stuck on the skin for ages!! Urrrgg! hehe. After that I was told to shower, remove all the lulur herbs... and then steam. Which I thought was rather odd because normally you would steam before the scrub. This is so that all your pores are open for the scrub. But anyway, I was zipped up into the steam thingy. As I sat there ( I felt like a chicken actually), I observed the bathroom. It had a nice tub. Some plants, the tiling was simple and old. Like of those in old colonial houses. The walls were painted dark green. It seem to work very well. There was a balinese statue and small rocks and candles line the floor on the edge of the tub. There were 2 chairs and a table with magazines to browse.

After the steam was the massage. I chose lavender for my oil. Also one of my favs. The masseus attending to me was a very small lady... but her hands were strong man!!! To sum it up, the massage was pengsan punye best. I adviced the lady of my back before we begun and she did excellent job by carefully being gentle the wierd part of my spine and firm on elsewhere.

All in all... BEST!!! I would definitely go back. I think I might want to have a back and shoulder massage this coming weekend.
