Going up top down

Just as hubby came home from being 2 weeks away, we left for Camerons the following day. My family was there and my dad insisted that we joined them. So hubby with jet lag and all, we left KL Saturday morning and arrived in Camerons 3 hours later. It was not as far as I thought it would be!

We drove froggie and took the top down once we started climbing after Simpang Pulai. The curves uphill were gentle yet fun. It was cool and breezy with very little traffic. Froggie clinged to the corners like she was on rails. It was absolutely fun!

On the way down, we did the same thing. Only downhill the drive is a bit different. I had to use minimal brakes as I do not want to overheat them. Using low gear all the way, I let Froggie take the corners effortlessly. I was nervous at first, but hubby assured me that the car would not run off the corners! So, I just held on tight to the steering and let Froggie go. Yup! She just glided along ok! Phew! It was nerve wrecking but an exciting risk to take. No we were not tearing around the corners like mad people, but were taken at 80km/hr max.

Happy to say, Froggie… and me… survived the drive.

Pictures of Camerons to come soon.
