I don't have much time to cook. But last night I decided to try to make some time & make my own spaggeti primavera. Inspired by the one I had at Pizza Uno, which I thought, does not look too difficult to make.
The spaggeti primavera at Pizza uno was an olio. It had bell peppers, zucini and lots of garlic. Looks simple enough. Price for one portion is RM 18.
So yesterday evening I headed to Cold Storage for the ingredients. My recipe consists of Yellow and green peppers, portobello mushrooms, large shrimps and of course garlic. Price for two person RM 22.
First I cooked the spaggeti. While it was cooking, I sliced the bell peppers and mushrooms, chopped the garlic and peeled the shrimps. With everything ready, I Set the wok on the stove and heated a very generous amount of olive oil. Then I sauteed the garlic, shrimps and mushrooms. Then in went the bell peppers (am I sounding like Jamie Oliver Yet ? Hehe). And then more olive oil went in! I wanted it to be swimming in olive oil just like the one at pizza Uno.By this time, my brand newly opened bottle of olive oil was already half empty!
After everything was nicely simmering, I added in the Spaggeti. Salt and pepper to taste, and that was it!
I must say, it was quite yummy. Taste almost the same as pizza Uno except less olive oil. Mahal Wei nak tuang banyak banyak!
Hubby liked it. Well, he has to, or he will have to sleep on the couch. Hehe
M gonna try the marinara next.
