A must stop at Kemaman is Hai Peng. Situated at the t junction in Kemaman, It is a famous Kopitiam which serves excellent coffee, authentic east coast nasi dagang and all sorts of kuih. But a MUST try is the Choco Lava!!
I am telling you this is an ice blended to DIE for! In it is a large scoop of chocolate ice cream and bits of chocolate as well as nuts. Topped with whipped cream and garnished with a chocolate wafer, it is so rich and smooth, it's unbelievable it came from a little Kopitiam from the east coast of Malaysia. It is Priced at RM 6.90 per cup. The wait for it is rather long as they make them in large batches but well worth it!
FYI Hai Peng closes at 6pm where most of its kuih and nasi dagang is finished by 4pm. So be sure to be there early. Their various variety of roti bakar there is also very yummy.
